What's Inside?

One of the most prized and precious oils due to its rich aroma, Frankincense is often referred to as the “king” of essential oils. Centuries ago, ancient Egyptians used Frankincense resin for everything from perfume to salves for the skin. Its soothing and beautifying properties may be rejuvenating to skin and may help reduce the appearance of imperfections when applied topically.

Lavender

With its distinct aroma and countless applications, Lavender has become one of the most popular essential oils. Anciently, the Romans and Egyptians would use Lavender for bathing. Since that time, many have discovered the myriad of other benefits it holds. Lavender is widely used in cosmetics and perfumes for its ability to promote healthy, clean skin. Additionally, its calming properties are often used to relax the body and improve mood. Its versatile benefits make Lavender an oil to have on-hand everywhere you go.

Vetiver

Vetiver, a member of the grass family, is grown for many reasons. Unlike other grasses, the root system of Vetiver grows down, making it ideal for helping to prevent erosion and providing soil stabilisation. Vetiver has a rich, exotic, complex aroma that is used extensively in perfumes. Due to Vetiver’s calming, grounding effects, it is an ideal oil to use in massage therapy. It can also be used before bedtime to promote a soothing environment.

Ylang Ylang

Ylang Ylang essential oil is derived from the star-shaped flowers of the tropical Ylang Ylang tree. This essential oil is used extensively in making perfumes and in aromatherapy, and has been used in religious and wedding ceremonies for centuries. Ylang Ylang is frequently used in luxurious hair and skin products for its rich, sweet aroma and also for its protective properties. Ylang Ylang is also known to promote calmness and lift mood.

Spearmint

Spearmint is a sweet, refreshing herb used as a flavouring around the world. It is widely used in gums, sweets, and dental products for its minty taste, and to promote fresh breath. Spearmint is very different from Peppermint and a milder option to use in food dishes. In cooking, Spearmint is frequently used in salads, drinks, and desserts, but it can also be used in homemade salad dressings and to marinate meats.

Clary Sage

Soothing and relaxing, Clary Sage essential oil is commonly used for its soothing and calming effects when applied to the skin. It also helps to balance emotions. The main chemical component of Clary Sage is linalyl acetate, part of the esters group, making it one of the most relaxing, soothing, and balancing essential oils.

Marjoram

Marjoram was known to the Greeks and Romans as a symbol of happiness. Commonly recognised for its ability to spice foods, Majoram essential oil is a unique cooking additive. The herbaceous flavouring of Marjoram oil can be used in soups, stews, dressings, and sauces. In Germany, this herb is known as the “Goose Herb” for its traditional use when roasting geese.
